Hello, Plano Band families!

We’re kicking off July with several important updates — including student physicals (due today!), spirit wear sales, sponsorship opportunities, and all the key dates leading into Band Camp. Please take a moment to review everything below so your student has a strong start to the season!

🏥 Student Physicals — DUE TODAY (July 1)

All students must submit their yearly required physical exam and medical history forms TODAY, July 1.

If they haven’t already, please have your student upload their completed forms to the Google Classroom assignment as soon as possible so they are cleared for band.

👕 Order Plano Band Spirit Wear by July 15!

Show your Plano Band pride and get ready for the new season! Spirit wear ordering is now open through July 15.

Two online stores are available:

👉 Groggy Dog: Shop Plano Band yard signs, shirts featuring a brand‑new design, and embroidered items.

👉 Plano Band website: Find the classic Plano Band prints and fan favorites.

Many items on the Groggy Dog site require minimum order quantities to be produced, so every purchase helps ensure these new spirit wear options become available for our students and families. Limited quantities available for items on the Plano Band website.

🎺 DCI — Drum Corps International

DCI season is in full swing! Drum Corps International showcases elite marching ensembles performing high‑energy shows with brass, percussion, and choreography at a professional level. It’s a great way for students and families to get inspired before our own season kicks off.

🤝 Sponsorships — Spread the word!

The Plano Senior High, Clark, and Vines Bands invite local businesses to partner with us for the 2026–2027 marching and concert season. Sponsorships help fund aging equipment, need‑based student scholarships, and clinicians who work directly with our students. Our cluster is committed to raising $10,000 to support nearly 1,000 families across our feeder programs.

We also encourage parents, alumni, and friends of the Plano Band to help spread the word. If you know a local business that values community, education, or the arts, please share our sponsorship opportunities and invite them to join us in supporting these incredible students.

🏈 ’26–’27 Football Program Ads & Shoutouts

Support your student — and support the Plano Band! The 2026 Football Program is selling personal ads and senior shoutouts that will appear in all six home game programs this fall.

The football boosters generously provide the band with complimentary program pages and cover features each year. Purchasing an ad is a great way to show appreciation for their partnership.

Plano Band receives a portion of every band ad and shoutout sold.

We’re building a strong, supportive community— and we want you to join the fun!

VOLY application opening soon!

All volunteers must complete the PISD VOLY application each year.
Please plan to complete your 2026–2027 VOLY approval in mid‑July so you’re ready for summer band and fall events.
