Welcome Plano Band families! We’re thrilled to kick off the 2025–2026 season with our first monthly Plano Senior High School (PSHS) Band Booster Newsletter! This year’s show theme is SHINE BRIGHT, and we’re here to help every student and family do just that.

Each month, we’ll share important updates, deadlines, and opportunities to get involved. Let’s make this season unforgettable!

Twilight Concert – Kickoff Marching Season!

Come celebrate the start of marching season and enjoy an evening of music, community, and school spirit! Featuring performances by the Vines, Clark, and PSHS Bands.

Vertical Raise – Let’s Hit Our Goal!

PSHS Band's BIGGEST fundraiser of the year is officially underway — and we need your help to make it soar!

Vertical Raise runs through Monday, Aug. 18, and our goal is to raise $33,000–$45,000 to support instruction, equipment, travel, and more.

Why does it matter?

Fundraisers like this help us keep Family Contributions low while still providing an exceptional experience for every student. Your participation directly impacts what we can offer — clinicians, masterclasses, transportation, hospitality, and more.

🎯 How can you help?

• Share your student’s fundraising link with friends, family, and coworkers

• Post on social media and tag supporters

• Encourage your student to reach out to 20+ contacts — it makes a huge difference!

💬 We’re asking every family to do their part to ensure a financially strong year for our kids. Together, we can reach our goal and keep the Plano Band shining bright!

Annual Family Contribution – Supporting Every Student’s Success

The Annual Family Contribution is a vital part of what makes the Plano Band program exceptional. It helps cover the costs that go beyond what the district provides, ensuring every student has access to high-quality instruction, experiences, and resources.

💡 What Does It Fund?

Instructional staff: Marching techs, masterclass teachers, and clinicians
Music licensing and arrangements
Transportation and travel expenses
Equipment maintenance and upgrades
Uniforms and performance gear
Hospitality at events
Leadership training and enrichment activities

Color Guard	$212.50
Jazz only (non-marching)	$212.50

These amounts are carefully calculated to reflect actual program costs while keeping things equitable and accessible.

Plano Band and Orchestra are teaming up for a one-day mattress sale fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 6!

We’re building a strong, supportive community — and we need your help!

Whether you’re available in the fall or spring, or just have a few hours to spare, we have a role for you:

• Chaperoning games, events, and contests
